One of my favorite type of posters are those advertising an art exhibit. Kind of ironic?

And can any discussion of prints be had without including this now iconic print?
A great reminder placed in a work area!

Interestingly, Keep Calm and Carry On was a poster produced by the British government in 1939 during the beginning of the Second World War, intended to raise the morale of the British public in the event of an invasion. It was little known and never used. The poster was rediscovered in 2000...and the rest is history.
What prints have you brought into your home?
And if you need a custom poster, see the Deer! :)
ReplyDeleteLove these posters, especially "use at your own risk". Perfect for a boy's bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI framed some original movie posters for my house. You are right, they are great for decorating a home.

I LOVE the heart print!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered the best print admonishing the suggestion that when life gives you lemons you make lemondade. It rambles on about calling life's manager and throwing the lemons, etc. Very funny. Love all those posters.
ReplyDeleteThat is very interesting about the Keep Calm and Carry On poster. I did not know the history of this. I had been curious where the saying came from. I must be late to the game!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice new blog. I'll be checking back!
ReplyDeleteI have a WW2 poster framed in my office/work out room.
ReplyDeleteIt's the famous poster of Rosie the Riveter--We Can Do It
I look at it when I'm doing my bicep curls.
Brilliant Mary! I need to have one of those to look at when I'm doing Pilates! Janell
ReplyDeleteI just added the Super Rural "For Like Ever" print for our bedroom. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the way the prints and posters add a touch of fun to a room. As I was scrolling down the images it occurred to me how different the feel of the rooms would have been with more "serious" art.
