Meaghan's Craigslist Freebie Find!

Finding free furniture and household items on Craigslist is a great way to save money and make a piece unique and your own! I found this great dresser online and all I had to do was pick it up and get to work!

Free!
{A good sander is a must when refinishing a piece of furniture such as this!}

Here are the steps I took to transform this piece:

1. Sand down the exterior of the piece
2. Paint the exterior white with two coats
3. Paint the legs orange for a pop of color
4. Replace dated pulls with navy and white strip ribbon
5. Add fabric to the inside of the doors with spray adhesive
6. Glue gun navy and white ribbon to trim out the fabric on the doors
7. Spray paint the inside of the cabinet with two coats of white paint
8. Add media components, servers in need of a placed to be stored, and all DVDs!

Happy DIYing!

Is there any price better than free? And what do I love about this piece? The ribbon used as handles!
Thanks for sharing your project with us Meaghan.

Very cute!! I like that she covered the inside of the doors with the fabric, great idea. It looks as if she found a treasure for sure, Kathysue
