A big thank you to Joss & Main for inviting me to curate an event on their site in celebration of the release of the holiday issue of House of Fifty!

Here is the post on their blog about the event:

"We’ve asked this week’s curator Janell Beals, the Founding Editor of House of Fifty, to share with us her thoughts and inspiration for her Curator’s Collection event. Here’s what she had to say:

There is something wonderful about having a well-appointed guest room that allows you to welcome visitors into your home with style. This collection of items, which will add beauty and comfort to any bedroom, was inspired by the beautiful guest room designed by Interior Design Lori Graham. In her words, “Guests rooms should be comfortably chic with equal parts swanky boutique hotel and the creature comforts of home.” I couldn’t agree more!

The essentials include quality linens, pillows and soft light from lamps set on nightstands, both of which are more interesting when they don’t match! Drapery panels to block out light are always appreciated, while a soft rug is welcome in the cool early morning hours. Then there are the extras that introduce hotel-like luxury: artwork can introduce a soothing quality to the design, a sculptural bench at the foot of the bed is the perfect place to sit while taking off shoes, a desk and chair offer a place to catch up on a moment of work if necessary, with books and a cozy chair truly creating a suite-like environment. For a final touch, consider adding an espresso machine into the mix! But be careful, your guests may never want to leave."

My favorite items? The scroll bench and the Citiz Espresso Maker

{you know I love my coffee & the ivory color would look fabulous in my kitchen!}
